Code of Conduct

Respect and Consideration:

  • Treat all participants, staff, and facilitators with respect, kindness, and consideration.
  • Value diverse perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.

Personal Boundaries:

  • Respect personal boundaries of others, both physical and emotional.
  • Obtain explicit consent before initiating any physical contact or engaging in personal discussions.

Mindful Communication:

  • Communicate with mindfulness, compassion, and empathy. Refrain from using offensive language, engaging in bullying, or spreading harmful rumours or gossip.
  • Please maintain complete silence during meditation sessions. Ensure that your actions do not disturb or distract others. Pay no attention to distractions caused by others, and remain focused and undisturbed in your practice.

Adherence to Timelines:

  • Participants are required to adhere to the timelines communicated by the Management. These timelines are designed to ensure the convenience and smooth functioning of the retreat for all participants.
  • Please be punctual and follow the specified schedules to maintain a harmonious and well-coordinated retreat experience for all involved.

Safety and Well-being:

  • Prioritize your own safety and the safety of others. Report any concerns or emergencies to the designated retreat staff immediately.

Participation and Engagement:

  • Engage actively and responsibly in all retreat activities. Be punctual and attentive during scheduled sessions to maximize the retreat experience for yourself and others.

Prohibition of Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking:

  • Abstain from the use of alcohol, illegal substances, and smoking during the entire duration of the retreat.
  • Please refrain from carrying any alcoholic beverages, cigarettes or illegal substances onto the premises, as this violates both the retreat guidelines and legal regulations.

Respect for the Retreat Space:

  • Maintain cleanliness and respect for the retreat venue and surroundings. Follow any guidelines or rules provided by the retreat organizers regarding the use of facilities, equipment, and common areas.

Digital Etiquette:

  • Use electronic devices mindfully and minimally during retreat activities to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Confidentiality:

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Do not share or distribute any personal information that participants share during the retreat.

Parental Responsibility:

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for the behaviour and well-being of their children during the retreat.
  • Please ensure that teenagers and children under their care adhere to the code of conduct and actively participate in age-appropriate activities.

Clothing:

  • Dress comfortably and appropriately for the retreat activities, considering the weather conditions and the nature of the retreat.
  • Maintain modesty and cultural sensitivity in your clothing choices.

Medical Conditions and Room Booking:

  • Disclose any relevant medical conditions or special needs during the registration process.
  • Retreat organizers will try their best to accommodate specific room requirements based on medical conditions or special needs.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information provided during the registration process.

Medications and First Aid:

  • If you are taking any medications, it is your responsibility to carry your medicines as prescribed by your doctor. In case of emergencies, first aid will be provided.

Loss, Theft and Damage:

  • Take responsibility for your personal belongings during the retreat. The Management is not liable for any loss of personal belongings.
  • Report any loss, theft, or damage to the retreat organizers immediately.
  • Respect the property and belongings of others, ensuring not to damage or misplace them.
  • Damaging any property will result in appropriate action being taken.

Injuries during the Retreat:

  • Engage in activities with caution and awareness, taking responsibility for your own safety.
  • Report any injuries or accidents to the designated retreat staff immediately.
  • Follow safety instructions provided during physical activities such as kayaking, swimming, and other recreational/adventure activities.

Miscellaneous:

  • The Management shall not be responsible for any loss/theft/damage of personal belongings, and shall not be liable for any injuries or accidents during your stay at Pyramid Valley.

By participating in the retreat, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this code of conduct. Failure to comply with the code may result in appropriate action, including removal from the retreat without refund.
